Anyone who is of legal driving age and has a valid driving license can drive your car. When it comes to your insurance, the benefits covering your car and the passengers will be active, while the driver will not be insured, because the insurance policy was not issued in his/her name.
Careful: if you want to lend your car to relatives or friends visiting from abroad, they need to have an international driving license, because the driving license issued in their country is not valid in Bahrain.
In simple terms, comprehensive insurance covers damage to others, but also to your car and the people driving with you. Third-party liability covers only damage you cause to other people and their property.
The insured value is the amount at which you estimate your car’s value when buying the insurance. It serves as the starting point for calculating insurance payouts you get in case of an accident.
If you choose our Gold comprehensive insurance with agency repairs, it means that your car will be repaired only in authorised dealerships for the first 3 years of your car’s brand. You may also extend this benefit for the 4th and 5th years from the date of purchase.
If you opt for our Classic non-agency product, we will repair your car in repair shops that do not belong to your authorised dealership network, but they meet the strict quality criteria of BKIC.
Unfortunately, you can’t. Agency repairs are available for cars aged five years or less.
In the unfortunate case that you get into an accident, we will provide you with a safe and reliable replacement car.
