If you were involved in an accident, first check if anyone involved had suffered any injuries and call an ambulance, if necessary.
The next thing you need to do is call the police and let them know where the accident happened. Do not move your car unless you are blocking the traffic.
The police officers will examine the accident and write up a police report.
Very important: the police report is the most crucial document to assess the amount of insurance payout you will get. Make sure that it includes all damages, including any injuries suffered by anyone involved.
To successfully submit your claim, you will need the following information:
For the police report number, you can request it via the eTraffic mobile application for Minor Accidents
It depends on the type of damage and its severity. The duration of the repairs depends heavily on the extent of the damage. Once your claim is registered, you will be notified to take your vehicle to the repair shop within 5 working days. FYI, remember that we offer a replacement car while you wait for yours to be fixed.
You can keep the replacement car up to eight days.
Yes, there is an amount which will be deducted from your claim payment, also known as deductible or excess. Having to pay a part of the damage yourself might sound unfair at first, but believe us, it’s the best way to get your insurance at a reasonable price.
To make it easier, we decided not to split the deductibles into many different variables depending on the type of damage, amount, and so on (many insurers do that). The amount of your deductible depends only on the value of your car, which you selected when buying your insurance policy:
Car Value | Excess |
BD 20,000 or less | BD 50 |
More than BD 20,000 & up to BD 50,000 | BD 100 |
More than BD 50,000 | As per the agreement between the Insured and the company |
